Procedures using Sculptra can be performed from 1 to 6 times (in case of extreme volume loss) depending on the indications, the region of injection and the desired effect.

Sculptra is a poly-L-lactic acid implant in the form of a sterile non-pyrogenic suspension which is reconstituted from sterile dry powder by the addition of sterile water for injection.
This suspension contains microparticles of poly-L-lactic acid, the crystalline form of polylactic acid. Sculptra is a fully biodegradable and biocompatible device for tissue stimulation.

Some discomfort after the injection including swelling, itching, bruising, heat sensation and redness of the treated region may occur. The mentioned symptoms last from 3 to over a dozen days after the Sculptra injection.
