Ellanse S gives immediate correction and stimulates the skin’s own collagen from a single syringe. It is a polycaprolactone (PCL) based dermal filler indicated for subdermal implantation in the face for the lasting correction of wrinkles and facial ageing signs, and it is the shorter-duration version of the Ellanse range from AQTIS Medical, part of Sinclair.

How Ellanse S works
The carboxymethylcellulose (CMC) gel carrier provides volumising support on placement. Over the following weeks the gel is gradually resorbed, while the PCL microspheres stimulate the formation of new collagen, mainly type I, which progressively takes over the volume of the carrier. The microspheres are bioresorbable and are broken down by the body over time.
Indications and treatment areas
Ellanse S is used in the face for the correction of wrinkles and signs of ageing linked to volume loss. Typical areas are the nasolabial folds and marionette lines, the cheeks and temples for volume, the chin and jawline for contour, and the nose. It is placed subdermally.

Ellanse S and Ellanse M share the same PCL and CMC formulation, and the two versions are set apart by how long they last. Ellanse S has a stated duration of around 12 months, and Ellanse M offers the same formulation with a stated duration of around 24 months.
